Great America will have it’s first ever Halloween Haunt this year, and since Cedar Fair now owns both Great America and Knott’s Berry Farm the same crew that runs the world’s first haunted amusement park attraction, Knott’s Scary Farm, will be designing and decorating Santa Clara County’s premiere theme park for the spooky season as well!

Wow, that reads a lot more like an ad then I expected :-\ Anywayz…

Z and I will be attending opening night of Halloween Haunt…

Okay, not really, but I kinda feel like one.  And it’s all thanks to my post, I’m Now A Silver AMPlifier For Free Talk Live.  But wait, I’m getting ahead of myself…

Over the weekend I got curious how many people were actually using Google’s new web browser, Chrome.  So, I visited my stats program over at Clicky to see how many visitors were still using it.  There were only a small handful, but one of them had gone directly to my…

Part of the Miley Cyrus’ Disney Sweet 16 Series - Previous in series

Well, it seems Miley Cyrus’ Sweet 16 party at Disneyland has finally sold out.  As y’all know Z and I got our tickets back on September 3rd.  A family friend (who I’ll also be escorting) purchased her ticket later that same week.  I was pretty surprised tickets lasted as long as they did, and don’t even know for sure that they’re sold out.  However, all…

I’ve already shared my rather busy October weekend schedule, what with all the amusement parks running “haunted house” and other Halloween events.  But fall brings more thanjust the greatest holiday ever invented.  It also means that, even here in sunny California, the skies will soon open and dump their loads of life-giving water on to our heads.  While I’m not opposed to rain on general principle, it does tend to limit the activities I’m willing to undertake on my weekends…

Halloween Plans Shaping Up

Posted on September 16, 2008 - Filed Under Fatherhood | Leave a Comment

Despite my being abandoned last Halloween, it remains my favorite holiday.  And we’re not fooling around this year as we’re starting to celebrate on October 3.  Here’s our agenda-

  • Friday October 3 - Halloween Haunt (opening night) at California’s Great America
  • Saturday October 4 - Halloween Haunt at Knott’s Scary Farm (aka Knott’s Berry Farm)
  • Sunday October 5 - Miley Cyrus’ Sweet 16 Party at Disneyland (okay, not strictly speaking Halloweeny, but the park will have its Halloween decorations up, including the Nightmare Before Christmas…

One Decade Of Google

Posted on September 7, 2008 - Filed Under Technology | 2 Comments

It suddenly occured to me the other day that, as of today, Google has been a round for a full decade! Happy Birthday Google!!!

Despite the cliche, Google actually was started in a garage just a handful of miles from my home.  Today, Larry Page and Sergey Brin are billionaires who single-handedly (double-handedly?) made the internet accessible to millions (if not billions) of technophobes the world over.

As I ponder a decade of Google I both think it can’t be that young…
