Last fall I made an “emergency” trip down to Six Flags Magic Mountain to be one of the last people to ever ride X, their Arrow Dynamics created prototype 4th dimension coaster, before they did a $10 Million revamp and transformed it into X2. My long term goal of riding every roller coaster in California has tripped into high gear with the coming of Spring and all the amusement parks opening up for the year. Another Long Term Goal Takes A Hit

Well, the weight loss goal took a small hit as a result of Thanksgiving Turkey (and ham, and stuffing, and potatoes, etc), and another just took a hit thanks to an email I just received from Six Flags Magic Mountain-
The transformation of X into X2 is currently scheduled to begin with the closure of the ride as of December 3, 2007. X will re-open as X2 in Spring of 2007 (exact date to be announced at a later time).
