On Saturday I posted a first hand account of the Boston Tea Party written by George Hewes, an impoverished colonial cobbler and member of the Sons of Liberty. In that article I stated that it was a 3% tax on tea that inspired the famous Boston Tea Party.

Just in case there’s still someone in the blogoverse who doesn’t already realize that Wal-Mart is evil, I bring you this story from CNNMoney-
Brad Olson, the founder of Gottadeal.com, a Web site that markets itself as one of many “official Black Friday deals sites,” told CNNMoney.com that he received an e-mail Wednesday from lawyers representing Wal-Mart warning him against “improper release” of the No. 1 retailer’s Black Friday sales circular.

I’ve been firmly in the anti-Wal-Mart camp for more than 20 years now, but it wasn’t much of an issue when I was living in San Jose and other large cities because there were so many options that few people I knew shopped at Wal-Mart.
