The only thing Z and I enjoy more than road trippin’ is Saturday morning cuddle time. Working so many hours I find myself seeking more and more interesting vacation ideas. These days my most frequent problem isn’t paying for the vacation itself, but losing the time at work (working in social services provides zero traditional benefits like sick/vacation time). This, of course, means I need to fly to places instead of drive, which leaves me stuck with either only visiting locations next to major airports, numerous taxi fees or exploring car rental options.

Last fall I made an “emergency” trip down to Six Flags Magic Mountain to be one of the last people to ever ride X, their Arrow Dynamics created prototype 4th dimension coaster, before they did a $10 Million revamp and transformed it into X2. I was very much not impressed, rating it a 3 on a scale of 1-10.
