Part of the Boston Tea Party Series - Previous in series

On Saturday I posted a first hand account of the Boston Tea Party written by George Hewes, an impoverished colonial cobbler and member of the Sons of Liberty. In that article I stated that it was a 3% tax on tea that inspired the famous Boston Tea Party. Sara left the following comment-

Aahz, I totally agree on the apathy of citizens about paying INTOLERABLE taxes….In my younger days,…

Stumbled across an interesting post over at Top 10 Tech Web Tips last week, titled Adobe And Yahoo Partner [To] End Scammy Ebook Deals-

Yahoo and Adobe have decided to work together to provide PDF documents that will run advertising within those PDF documents. This will enable publishers to receive advertising revenue through their virally circulated PDF documents. That is a significant advancement and could decrease publishers needs to sell those same PDF documents upfront.

More On The Writer’s Whining… er… Strike

Posted on November 19, 2007 - Filed Under Living Free | 1 Comment

A couple weeks back my anarchist and free market credentials were (once again) called into question by a visitor because I thought the television writer’s strike was ridiculous. We petitioned his health insurance provider and my employers about getting him a bidet or similar device, but they decided that since I’m here to help him it’s not a “medical necessity”. Well, it’s a dignity…

The Market Reacts To Google’s Insanity

First there was the specific targeting of specific blogs and websites for reduction and/or penalties in both PageRank and rankings in Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs). How is it not insane for a search on “John Chow” not to return johnchow.com as the first result? Then…

Benefits Of Competition In Paid Post Companies

Posted on November 14, 2007 - Filed Under Paid To Write | Leave a Comment

I’ve mentioned several times that I work thorough numerous different “Pay To Blog” companies. There are numerous reasons for this. The primary is that it gives me the greatest range of opportunities so that I can choose those that most fit my personality and the themes of this blog. PayPerPost had one infamous opportunity for vaginoplasty that payed very well, and was taken by many different posties. Since I have zero experience with the subject, don’t address such things on Philaahzophy…
