Car Rental For $1 A Day? Now, That’s An Advantage!

Posted on July 10, 2008 - Filed Under Road Trippin', Travel | Leave a Comment

Working so many hours I find myself seeking more and more interesting vacation ideas. These days my most frequent problem isn’t paying for the vacation itself, but losing the time at work (working in social services provides zero traditional benefits like sick/vacation time). This, of course, means I need to fly to places instead of drive, which leaves me stuck with either only visiting locations next to major airports, numerous taxi fees or exploring car rental options.

Catching A Flight To A Road Trip?

Posted on April 30, 2008 - Filed Under Road Trippin', Travel | Leave a Comment

As a result, there are probably a million or more websites out there dedicated to travel guides and reservations at this point, and each one is trying to differentiate itself from the others. While researching destinations in Scandinavia (Z and her friend K have expressed an interest in traveling there) I came across the Europe Hotel Guide at HotelsByCity.net. More…

Discovering The Contained Ocean In Orlando

Posted on November 12, 2007 - Filed Under Travel | Leave a Comment

It seems Z wasn’t too excited about the Dominican Republic. Instead she was more excited about flying into Orlando a day or two early so we could visit Sea World’s exclusive Discovery Cove. This reservation only theme park is 100% designed around interaction with the marine life. Not only can you swim with dolphins (which is a pretty common thing these days, actually), but also snorkel alongside sharks and barracudas. Of course, there is a plexiglass barrier between you and…
