Violence as a way of achieving racial justice is both impractical and immoral. It is impractical because it is a descending spiral ending in destruction for all. It is immoral because it seeks to humiliate the opponent rather than win his understanding; it seeks to annihilate rather than to convert. Violence is immoral because it thrives on hatred rather than love. »» Martin Luther King, Jr.

Defining Government Once Again

Posted on October 11, 2007 - Filed Under Anarchy | Leave a Comment

I’ve said it before and I’ll likely say it again…

gov-ern-ment [?gav?m?nt] noun

An organization whose primary purpose is to reward its friends while simultaneously punishing its enemies.

Sure, that’s not what the dictionary says, but we all know dictionaries, like history, are written by “the man;) The latest example of this truer definition of government comes to us from the Government Accountability Office (GAO) via Wired magazine-

The Government Accountability Office says the agency tips off some people with business before the commission in…

What’s Old Is New Again

One of the things that really got me hooked on road trippin’ was finding the massive advertisements painted on the roofs of barns all around the Midwest. By the time I was discovering these ads for the first time most of them were fading and the barns which held them decaying. Many of the products or companies being advertised no longer existed, but their ads were hanging in there for a few more years.

Now, a company called Ad-Air has brought back…

I’ve never been a fan of doctors. I use them the same way I use a mechanic - I ask them to fix the things I’m not comfortable doing myself. But diagnostics and minor fix-its I can handle myself and save the cash, thank you very much. Then, today, Reuters published the following-

Carlos Camejo, 33, was declared dead after a highway accident and taken to the morgue, where examiners began an autopsy only to realize something was amiss when he started…

Legalized abortion continues to be a hot political topic in the United States more than 30 years after the Roe V. Wade decision, China’s (failing) one child policy has been in place for more than 25 years, and according to Reuters-

The governor of a central Russian province urged couples to skip work Wednesday and make love instead to help boost Russia’s low birth-rate.

And if a woman gives birth in exactly nine months time — on Russia’s national day on June 12 —…

The Truth Spoken by Osama Bin Laden

Just as it’s possible (as I wrote earlier today) for the Nazis to have had good family values, it’s also possible for a terrorist to speak the truth. Yesterday I wrote about the 9/11 indoctrination my daughter tried to resist at her school on Tuesday. But schools aren’t the only place that we receive such government indoctrination. The major media is the source for most people. Z was offered extra credit by her social studies teacher if she looked up Osama…
