Posted on November 14, 2007 - Filed Under Aahz | Leave a Comment
Okay, so that headline is totally BS, but it was the first thought that entered my mind when I ran across this story at Space.com last week and I haven’t been able to get it out of my head!

With NASA’s go-ahead today, astronauts have geared up for a tricky solar wing repair at a far end of the International Space Station (ISS) tomorrow morning.
Crewmembers scrounged around the orbital laboratory yesterday for supplies, gathering tools and crafting “cufflinks” that will button up…

A Killer’s Walking The Streets Of Gilroy!
Posted on November 13, 2007 - Filed Under Living Free | Leave a Comment
Yes, the Santa Clara County Courts released a killer a few days back and he’s now walking the streets of Gilroy once again - and I couldn’t be happier about it! From the Gilroy Dispatch-
Stephen Lake was sentenced to an unusually high 400 hours of community service, three years of probation and $2,110 in court and restitution costs at the San Martin Courthouse Friday afternoon for hitting and killing local bird-enthusiast Norm Watenpaugh Oct. 15, 2006. The 29-year-old Lake -…

Cut Hillary Clinton Some Slack!
Posted on November 11, 2007 - Filed Under Vote 2008 | 1 Comment
Apparently, the Clinton Campaign was not satisfied getting caught once planting questions in an Iowa crowd, but decided they should not only do it again, but should then institute the worst cover up in history. I’m not going to bother quoting from the articles because I’m not really that interested in them. (If you’re not already familiar with the problems, just click on over.) What I am interested in is the ridiculous reaction people are having to these discoveries.
Of course political candidates…

Just in case there’s still someone in the blogoverse who doesn’t already realize that Wal-Mart is evil, I bring you this story from CNNMoney-
Brad Olson, the founder of Gottadeal.com, a Web site that markets itself as one of many “official Black Friday deals sites,” told CNNMoney.com that he received an e-mail Wednesday from lawyers representing Wal-Mart warning him against “improper release” of the No. 1 retailer’s Black Friday sales circular.
And he isn’t the only one. Neal Rapoport, founder of Dealtaker.com which…

Bank Robbery? Search Thousands Of People!
Posted on November 10, 2007 - Filed Under Police | 2 Comments
Just when you thought you’d read everything possible about police incompetence, they shut down an interstate during rush hour and achieve nothing. From The Atlanta Journal-Constitution-
Southbound traffic on I-75 was clogged for more than five miles and exit ramps near Moores Mill Road in Fulton County were blocked as police walked from car to car, searching for a bank robber who traded a demand note for cash at a Wachovia Bank branch near Smyrna on Thursday afternoon.
The robber never showed…

Criminalizing Victimless Crime Creates Crime Victims - Again

Once again, Reuters fails to see the actual story buried beneath the one they decided to print-
A German bank manager gave loans to a woman for sex and then embezzled thousands of euros to buy the silence of her relatives, authorities said on Thursday.
When the man realized he could not offer the jobless woman a loan because of her poor credit history, he offered to lend her the money personally in return for sexual favors, said a spokesman for a court…
