Tokyo Shows Us The Future Of Universal Health Care

Posted on January 4, 2008 - Filed Under Health Care | 1 Comment

According to Reuters, a japanese firm has taken the concept of Universal Health Care to its logical conclusion-

TOKYO (Reuters) - Hoping to send the message that pets are life-long partners not disposable accessories, a Japanese maker of medicines for animals has begun giving employees who own dogs or cats a monthly “family allowance” for their pets.

The number of pets in Japan has grown with greater affluence and a falling birth rate and there are now more pet cats and dogs…

Let The Games Begin! Iowa Caucus 85%-97% In

The first actual contest in the Presidential race has just about concluded. The Republican results are rather predictable with 85% of precincts reporting-

  1. Mike Huckabee - 34%
  2. Mitt Romney - 25%
  3. Fred Thompson -14%
  4. John McCain - 13%
  5. Ron Paul - 10%
  6. Rudy Giuliani - 4%
  7. Duncan Hunter - 0%

The Democratic side, however, was shocking (at least to me) with 97% of precincts reporting-

  1. Barack Obama - 38%
  2. John Edwards - 30%
  3. Hillary Clinton - 29%
  4. Richardson - 2%
  5. Joe Biden - 1%
  6. Chris Dodd - 0%
  7. Mike Gravel -0%
  8. Dennis Kucinich - 0%

Cut Hillary Clinton Some Slack!

Posted on November 11, 2007 - Filed Under Vote 2008 | 1 Comment

Apparently, the Clinton Campaign was not satisfied getting caught once planting questions in an Iowa crowd, but decided they should not only do it again, but should then institute the worst cover up in history. I’m not going to bother quoting from the articles because I’m not really that interested in them. (If you’re not already familiar with the problems, just click on over.) What I am interested in is the ridiculous reaction people are having to these discoveries.

Of course political candidates…

Hillary Clinton And The Old Cow

I swiped this from Reflections From A Rotting Nation, who claims to have swiped it from his local morning radio show. I coulda sworn I heard this about Margaret Thatcher back in the 80s, but it still made me literally laugh out loud, so I figured I should pass it along to y’all as well-

Hillary Clinton and her driver were cruising along a country road in New York State one evening when an ancient cow roamed in front of the…

No, I’m not running for President. Ron Paul already has the majority of my basis covered in that arena. But Rishi over at rishiraj.info is sponsoring a Group Writing Project on the subject of “How I see my blog after one year from today“ and I figured I’d take a stab at it. Let’s see…

  • I don’t picture the layout being much different as I really like this theme and yet haven’t seen any others similar to it.
  • The Adsense ads will…

Does Hillary Clinton Suck?

Posted on October 15, 2007 - Filed Under Vote 2008 | 5 Comments

This has to be the most unusual paid to write opportunity I’ve ever seen. I’m actually getting paid to ask you to do the does Hillary suck? poll at RaterGators.com and express your opinion on whether or not Hillary Clinton sucks. Having never dated her I can’t say for myself ;)

One would think that with a leading question like that the person who created the poll would not be a Hillary fan. But he gave her five stars on the poll,…
