Halloween Plans Shaping Up

Despite my being abandoned last Halloween, it remains my favorite holiday. And we’re not fooling around this year as we’re starting to celebrate on October 3.
Here’s our agenda-
- Friday October 3 - Halloween Haunt (opening night) at California’s Great America
- Saturday October 4 - Halloween Haunt at Knott’s Scary Farm (aka Knott’s Berry Farm)
- Sunday October 5 - Miley Cyrus’ Sweet 16 Party at Disneyland (okay, not strictly speaking Halloweeny, but the park will have its Halloween decorations up, including the Nightmare Before Christmas…

The Long Lost California’s Great America Videos

Okay, so “long lost” is a bit of a stretch. The truth is I get so upset thinking about the nightmarish opening day at California’s Great America in March that I keep forgetting to upload these videos to Philaahzophy. California’s Great America Has Not-So-Great Opening

As a roller coaster junkie I was really looking forward to opening day of California’s Great America. Although not a new park (Great America has been in Santa Clara for more than 30 years now) March 16th was the first public operation day under the new name and under Cedar Fair’s watch. I’ve only been to one Cedar Fair park in the past (Cedar Point back in the 80s), but their reputation in the roller coaster community is huge. So…
