Halloween Plans Shaping Up

Despite my being abandoned last Halloween, it remains my favorite holiday. And we’re not fooling around this year as we’re starting to celebrate on October 3. 
Here’s our agenda-
- Friday October 3 - Halloween Haunt (opening night) at California’s Great America
- Saturday October 4 - Halloween Haunt at Knott’s Scary Farm (aka Knott’s Berry Farm)
- Sunday October 5 - Miley Cyrus’ Sweet 16 Party at Disneyland (okay, not strictly speaking Halloweeny, but the park will have its Halloween decorations up, including the Nightmare Before Christmas…

My long term goal of riding every roller coaster in California has tripped into high gear with the coming of Spring and all the amusement parks opening up for the year. In fact, next week three new coasters are supposed to be opening here in California: Pony Express at Knott’s Berry Farm (Thursday, May 22nd); Tony Hawk’s Big Spin at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom (Friday, May 23rd); and X2 at Six Flags Magic Mountain (Saturday, May 24th). Despite the Christmas trip being cancelled, Z and I headed up to Vallejo and Six Flags Discovery Kingdom on Saturday. The trip was canceled because I was no longer going to support her spoiled nature. The DK trip was permissible because she paid her own way.

It took me six months to plan it, three months to pay for it and less than a week to cancel it entirely, losing about $650 in the process. Here was the itinerary:
