Posted on January 14, 2008 - Filed Under Blogging, Technology | 1 Comment

It was almost a month ago that I sent out a cry for help with understanding how to use StumbleUpon effectively. Alas, no help was forthcoming :( Never deterred, I’ve been experimenting and reseaching my proverbial butt off (the real one’s still growing unfortunately). So, I’ve created this basic primer to get y’all started so that others won’t have to put in the work that I have…

StumbleUpon as actually a very simple concept:

Posted on January 11, 2008 - Filed Under Blogging, Paid To Write | 4 Comments

Part of the Smorty Series - Previous in series

A couple days back I reported that Smorty was emailing me offers once again. Well, they emailed me two more offers today, despite my having quit and being told that I would be removed from the program for violating their (then unwritten) rules. Apprently, Smorty is taking their cues from BlogRush, which also refuses to go away despite both my quitting and then, months later, being kicked out.

What, exactly, does it take to be removed…

Part of the Adventures In BlogRushing Series - Previous in series

Well, it’s been almost two months since I last wrote about Blogrush, but it seems the story is not over yet. Check out these two screenshots from Clicky (my web analytics program)-

They clearly show that despite my removing the widget, requesting removal, mocking them incessantly and, finally, being kicked out of the program, BlogRush is still listing Philaahzophy in their widget and even sending me the occasional traffic…

Remember my brief mention of the most beautiful blog yesterday? Well, not only is Scribblescratch easy on the eyes, but they just made my holiday shopping a bit easier as well. As you can see in the picture at the right I was lucky enough to have my name drawn from the bowl in her mini-contest! Huzzah for me!! And a giant thank you to Teresa!
