Hey everyone, this is Z from Butterfly Diaries and I’m here to tell you about a recent thing I learned this weekend. (Don’t tell Dad I’m on HIS blog)

Dad saw my fugly nails one day and asked if I knew how to actually paint them. When I said no, he had me bring nail polish and remover to his house. So today was the day.

We went into the bathroom and he taught me some techniques. Some of which are make sure you don’t have too much polish on the brush or it will glop, start on one side and work your way across, and paint slowly and carefully not touching the ends or it will paint your skin (making it look like crap).

He taught me by painting his own nails. His color selection caused me to laugh, as it was a shiny baby blue! It showed me that dads can get all girly and teach you girly things. I picked a slightly shimmery dark purple and got lots of practice because I kept re-doing them. However, I had fun and now when I practice, I will practice correctly so I do not become good at making my nails look bad!  It was fun and educational. Every dad needs to get girly occasionally! :)
