Autumn Means Rain And Rain Means Crafts!

I’ve already shared my rather busy October weekend schedule, what with all the amusement parks running “haunted house” and other Halloween events.  But fall brings more thanjust the greatest holiday ever invented.  It also means that, even here in sunny California, the skies will soon open and dump their loads of life-giving water on to our heads.  While I’m not opposed to rain on general principle, it does tend to limit the activities I’m willing to undertake on my weekends with Z.

Luckily, in addition to being a newly born blogging junkie, and an affirmed roller coaster addict, she’s also a craft enthusiast.  And that means we’ll be spending many of those rainy Saturdays huddled around the dining room table creating something with our own four hands.  One area of crafting that she’s explored without me in the past is beaded jewelry. With my discovery of wholesale gemstone beads website Beads of Cambay I have a feeling we’ll be surrounded by beads and string in the near future.

Don’t be put off by my mention of their wholesale beads business, though. They sell to regular crafters as well and they’ve got a great selection including, precious gemstone beads, semi-precious gemstones, freshwater pearls, vermeil beads, sterling silver, copper, brass, and even one of a kind beads!  Now that I know I cna get away from the traditional little plastic “kids” beads, beading is a much more appealing way to spend a rainy afternoon.
