Our last summer road trip was yet another occasion when I should have taken the advice I give out on this blog and turned to the online travel guides from Trusted Tours and Attractions instead of simply flying by the seat of my pants. Z and I had four days and wanted to make the most of them (while not blowing a fortune on gas money), so headed down to the LA area to hit up some of the key attractions. Unfortunately we spent far more time trying to find things to do in Los Angeles then we actually spent doing any of them.
The problem was that I’ve spent so much time in LA over the years that I thought I pretty much had the area down pat. Boy was I wrong. For example, I coulda sworn there was a Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in Hollywood, but it turns out there no longer is (if there ever was). We still managed to hit Universal Studios Hollywood, Legoland California, Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure, but didn’t get the opportunity to visit any of the smaller attractions because we were simply overwhelmed with choices and got caught in our self-created gridlock.
When we start preparing our list of things to do in Las Vegas later this fall we won’t make the same mistake. Not only can you avoid our errors by signing up for the Trusted Tours and Attractions Newsletter, but when you subscirbe you’ll also be entered into a drawing for a $150 iTunes gift card!
