Thirteen days to my weight loss deadline and I’ve been cracking down rather successfully. Last week I reported that I’d bounced back up to 242 pounds, well I’m proud to report that I’ve not only regained my footing, but moved even further into territory that hasn’t been explored in a few years: 235 pounds! WooHoo! That’s a net weight loss of 15 pounds since last fall when I set my goal. I’m behind schedule, but feel I’ve learned a lot about how my body works and moved far forward in healthy eating habits along the way.

Still, it looks like a little boost would be a good thing. Which is why I’m looking into the B12 injections offered by Dr. Don Gates of MyDietSolutions.com. I’m actually considering his B12 shots with Lipotropics-

Lipotropics is a fancy word for three amino acids that are essential for the health of your liver. Your liver is the organ responsible for removing fat and toxins from your body, so if it is healthier, it will work better for you. B12 gives you a huge energy boost, which helps you to burn calories.

Aside from the approaching goal, the other reason I’ve been considering Dr. Gates’ injections because of my recent research on aspartame. It turns out that aspartame is in the yogurt I’ve been encouraging Z to eat on her weight loss journey and it seems to effect the liver in the exact opposite way that lipotropics do. Obviously I’ve cut the aspartame from both our diets, but I’m thinking the introduction of the lipotropics as well may just be the edge that I’ve been seeking.

  1. The funny thing about diets and weightloss plans are their are so many and all do not work for everyone. The thing that you have to do is to keep trying different plans until you find the one that gets you the results you are looking for.

The most important thing is to keep on trying and you will find it.

If you check out enough diet sites you will find certain things that run through all of them and these generally are the things that you use to create your diet foundation.

I kept on searching until I found one that would allow me to eat whatever I wanted and still get in shape. I also shared this with some other people who thank me daily.

    Keep trying and don’t stop!

  2. I’ve ordered from MyDietSolutions for a year now and couldn’t be more happier with both the customer service and the products. Having been diagnosed with a Thyroid disease which not only puts weight on me, but makes it extremely difficult to lose that weight, plus drains any energy that I might have, I thought there was no hope. But there was an answer for me waiting at MyDietSolutions! Since starting the B12 injections I’ve had an abundance of energy, as has my husband who takes the B12 injections to help with on-court recovery during refereeing. I’ve also decided to couple the B12 with the B6 and Lipotropics to help get the weight off… and it’s working. So far I’ve met my 1st weightloss goal and am so convinced that these products work that I’m on my way to even more weight loss!
I’ve done MY part in all of this, though, as well. I watch my calorie intake (and yet, am not hungry), drink plenty of water, and exercise at least 30 minutes a day. I am so happy to have found their website! 😛

  3. Yeah, I hear yeah. I’m currently on a weight loss hiatus as I worry about more pressing matters in my life. But I’ve found that the “little bit from here, little bit from there” system is working out best, overall.

  4. Glad to hear the B12 injections are working so well for you and your husband, Chell!

It’s always nice to know that a review has helped someone else in their life as well. I haven’t actually tried out the injections myself, yet, but they’re still on my list of future helpers.

  5. Just my 2 cents here on My Diet Solutions and their products… don’t ever see myself without them!!
From their Bars and their B12 Injections to their “Calorie King” and “Chicken Soup” Books, I’ve enjoyed all my purchases thus far, and the customer service is tops!

  6. I love working out when the weather changes. I’m about the same size as you and have been fluctuating up and down. I didn’t know b12 helped with weight loss. I’ll start taking it.

  7. I know this post is very old, but can you please share updates on your weight-loss progress? Did you find a perfect plan for you? Did you manage to lose weight? I need to lose about 35 lbs (gulp) and I can really use all the help I can get.

    Thanks in advance!

  8. I used to have to have sugar on nearly everything, and never found fruit to be sweet enough. But I slowly started to eliminate more and more sugar, use less and less sweeteners, and now I hardly ever use any sugar at all. I drink only carbonated water. Little by little you get used to it. Now I find that fruit is plenty sweet for me and I love them frozen! Certain fruits freeze to a consistancy like a popsicle; try red grapes, mango (look for boxed in the freezer section)and raspberries. A good alternative to ice cream! Hang in there!

  9. Personally I have found that when I set myself goals and I don’t hit them, I get disheartened and eventually give up when I don’t achieve my desired goals. If I just concentrate on getting myself fit (LOTS of excercise), and not solely on losing weight then I tend to stick to it which in turn helps me lose more weight.

  10. I want to loose inner thigh fat as well as belly fat and you have mentioned some things that I really think are important. Most people do not have the discipline to stick to any given diet program because it is too hard for most to cut back on eating certain foods. But what is all this about B12 injections? Sounds scary… lol.

  11. Greeting! 15 pounds is amazing result.

If we like to success, yes we need plan/blueprint/schedule, but I think the most important rules, we must rock solid to follow the schedule to reach our goal.

With proper weight loss schedule and stick on it, no matter what our mood currently is either laziness or feel down or boring… whatsoever, we can make sure ourself on the right track.

  12. I have always been wondering what the quickest way to safe weight loss is. I believe in a healthy eating routine and of course getting regular exercise. Hopefully some of the recommended products will help me shed off the last few pounds that I have been struggling with. Thanks for the tips 🙂

  13. All the best for your weight loss program.

    Are those injections even safe?

I would prefer a more natural approach if possible

  14. I’m doing 3 short interval workouts with 12kg kettlebell and it works wonders for me.
i’m a hugh fan of functional training workouts.

  15. For me, the best thing was following a diet plan. I’ve never tried injections.

  16. Great to hear that the b12 is helping you well, just don’t stop and do a lot of proper dieting and exercise. It is priceless whenever you achieved your goal.

    Cheers! Keep it up! 🙂

  17. A great tip which helped me massively was to be more of aware of what I was eating and when. Also by meditation I managed to kick through the habit of emotional eating.
All the very best with your weight loss goals.

  18. Thanx for the info, keep it going.

  19. Very informative article, its a very important point that you will lose the greatest amount of weight in the first couple of weeks of any fat loss program and you shouldn’t expect that amouint of fatloss every week.
