Last month I received free samples of some natural and conditioner from Naked Naturals.
It’s taken me some time to write about it because one of their claims is the shampoo “makes hair up to 7x stronger” and the conditioner “makes hair up to 3x stronger”. They claim that the Keravis natural plant protein that is (of course) exclusively available in their products “works on two molecular levels, penetrating and moisturizing the hair follicle and making the hair thicker and stronger.”
It turns out that testing such claims is rather difficult outside of the lab and I don’t have a device at home that allows me to measure the strength of hair, so the seven times (or three times) stronger claim wasn’t exactly testable. But I still wanted todo the experiment, so I used the $1.00 off coupon they included with the samples to purchase some of the natural shampoo at my local shop and I’ve been using it for the last month or so.
Results of my naked naturals experiment-
After more than a month of using the product my hair is definitely not breaking nearly as easily as it did before. Unfortunately, it’s still falling out at the same rate, but they never promised anything about ending baldness
So, is it the Keravis natural protein that made my hair stronger? How would I know? I’m just a guy who gets paid to write a blog about his experiences. But in my experience, Naked Naturals is at least somewhat living up to its hype.
