It seems there are ever more blogs seeking reviews of late, so I figured I’d post up another one. Travel & Living is CatLover’s take on travel, living tips, home and house, destination, good food and more.
As a Blogspot blog there are limitations on what CatLover can do with the layout and design, but it looks pretty good with an attractive title banner, a soft mint page background and solid black table backgrounds. Wisely, CatLover choose not to use true white for the primary text, instead going with an eggshell or off-white color and using true white as the link color. Overall, the effect is very easy on the eyes (unusual for a Blogspot blog) which makes reading both easy and enjoyable.
The content is a little bit of everything with the most populated category being ‘Living Tips - Blogging’. Unfortunately, the bulk of recent posts in this category appear to be sponsored posts on random topics as opposed to actual blogging tips. The writing style is friendly, though mistakes in English are plentiful. While this is not uncommon with Asian bloggers, it is still a bit irritating, especially when things like the blog title itself are incorrect (”Travel & Livings”).
