More Heavenly Clothes For My (near-)Angel

Living in California certainly has its perks. The weather over the last few days has been perfectly summer - hot, but not too hot. Of course, Z informed me while we enjoyed a sunny Friday afternoon that she doesn’t believe she owns any shorts that fit. Likewise, the skirts I’ve purchased her in the past are no longer serviceable. Sigh. Thank God for our favorite clothes website: Heavenly Couture.

I’ve written about Heavenly Couture before here on Philaahzophy. They carry name brand junior clothing all for up to 85% off retail price. In fact, price is essentially irrelevant as you go in knowing that none of the outfits or accessories are priced any higher than $17.95. Z had to return home before we could shop together but I’ve picked out a few things I think she’ll like-

These shorts seem pretty cute to me, with thin white lines running vertically to accentuate length and actual pockets as well. For some reason whenever Z or her mother pick out shorts or pants they always end up not having pockets.
I simply don’t understand how someone can wear (much less purchse) jeans or pants without pocket in them. Z insists fake pockets are a “girl thing”, but I think it’s just a “profit margin” thing. Hence my affection for these shorts - affordable and pockets are included in the reasonable price.
Although it’s fading, Z still definitely has a thing for butterflies. So this dress seems absolutely perfect. Silk is wonderfully airy in the hot summer months, and the cut is very feminine while still conservative enough to keep her mother and I happy. The tasseled belt is made of satin instead of silk so it can actually serve its intended purpose in addition to being an attractive part of the outfit.
With a retail price tag of $43.00 Z would never do more than try this dress on. But at $17.95 it should be fluttering into her closet in short order.
This skirt is my favorite summery item at Heavenly Couture. Not only is it adorable, but I really love the shade of blue. And the white leaves give just enough of an accent without overpowering the skirt itself. Plus, it’s on sale at a mere $10.95!
