Have you ever tried to drive in Washington, D.C.? The first road trip I took after getting my driver’s license was cross country with my older sister. Nominally we were returning my father’s car t ohim as he had lent it to her here in California then moved back to Virginia to work at the Pentagon. I’d never driven a stick shift before starting this trek, but was still granted the keys to the classic ‘67 cougar for the summer. Not too bad an idea, though I quickly learned how to peel out rather than stall. I wanted to spend the summer back East not only to see my Dad, but to explore Washington, D.C. Little did I know what a nightmare diving in the nation’s capital city is.
I should have booked some sightseeing tours with Trusted Tours & Attractions instead! They’ve got an awesome selection of Washington, D.C. Tours including an amazing Monuments by Moonlight Night Tour which covers the Capitol Building, the White House, the Jefferson Memorial, the Washington Monument, the FDR Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the Korean War Veterans Memorial and the Iwo Jima Memorial. That may be more memorials than you can even remember, but with them all lit up and the stars in the background it’s a sight you must not miss.
If you insist on driving, (or have a habit of wandering away from scheduled tours) Trusted Tours & Attractions still has you covered - they’re giving away a handheld GPS device to one lucky new subscriber for their Trusted Tours eNewsletter!
