Polite Comment Spammers?

Okay, someone’s going to have to explain this one to me. I received the following email from WP earlier today, asking me to moderate the comment-

Do you see it now? The comment spammers are now adding nofollow tags to their own links! Could it be that they’re actually starting to care about the sites they spam? Are they concenrned about my PageRank? Hmmmm…..

Maybe Google’s crackdown is going to do some good after all…
