Luther Sales is one of a myriad of web stores looking to sell you just about anything you need. They offer everything from jewelry to appliances and home electronics to furniture on credit. I encourage you to browse the thousands of products they have available, but I’d like to take a few minutes to share their innovative credit offers, which they call LutherCharge. They’re really focused on serving the military and government markets. This focus is evident in the number…

Cow Meet Car, Car Meet Mechanic

I’m not really sure there’s anything I can add, but I just had to share this story from Reuters-

SPOKANE, Washington (Reuters) - A cow plunged from a 200-foot (61-metre) cliff onto the hood of a minivan on a highway in central Washington state, according to police.

The car’s occupants, Charles and Linda Everson, were not hurt in Sunday’s accident, but the cow was euthanized at the scene.

“If the cow had fallen a split second later, the animal would have landed right…

Timing Is Everything When Being Paid To Blog

Over the last two months a larger and larger portion of my online earning has come directly from sponsored blog posts at Philaahzophy. As a result I’ve focused more and more of my attention in that direction as well. When I first started doing paid blog posts I was focused on my site’s stats (Google PageRank, Alexa, Technorati, etc). From what I read around the blogosphere I was not alone in this. But now I’ve come to realize that as…

Although at first blush October was a stellar month, on closer examination it becomes clear that I seriously slacked off through much of the month.

Unlike most bloggers who give monthly earnings reports I’m not going to share what I “earned”, but only payments that I actually received this month. You can see my full PayPal proof of payment by clicking here. I do this because internet companies are notoriously prone to failure, and “get paid” sites are all the more…

Fresh Film Footage And Features at Film Fresh

I just discovered a great new international movie site called Film Fresh. With more than 600 international and independent films available this site has everything for the cinema buff. Movies can be purchased on DVD and/or purchased or rented as direct downloads from the site for watching immediately. Best of all, the vast majority of the films even come with subtitles in English to help us ethnocentric filmgoers!

The World’s Largest Pez Dispenser

Posted on November 7, 2007 - Filed Under Road Trippin' | 1 Comment

Z and I decided to take her friend K along with us on our excursion this last weekend to celebrate K’s birthday. Our destination was the Pez Museum in Burlingame.

It seemed a good choice as I’m a huge fan of funky little museums essentially dedicated to one person’s offbeat passion, and the girls are both big fans of Pez. Both Z and I are also fans of “World’s Largest” Whatevers. This makes the fifth largest something we’ve journeyed to in the…
