Being the father of a young girl is never easy. But when you go from not being a father to having a nine year old girl dropped in your lap it can be pretty shocking. Unsure of who Z was, or what any nine year old girl was interested in I suggested Hello Kitty at one point. Turns out she was appalled by the idea, and it’s been a running joke between us for the last two years since. Wherever we go I’m always stumbling across and pointing out Hello Kitty stuff and she always gives me the same sour face about it. This is particularly fun when she’s with a friend such as my discovery of the Hello Kitty Pez dispenser last weekend. I think it was the first real “parents can be so embarrasing” moment that we’ve shared. What’s my point? Hmmmm… I’m sure there’s one here somewhere… Oh yeah…
I wonder what she’d think if I splurged for Christmas this year and bought her a $3,450 diamond Hello Kitty watch? Probably not her style. Luckily, J.R. Dunn offers a lot more quality watches that don’t have a Japanese feline on their face. Unfortunately, they sold out of my facorite: the diamond encrusted, limited edition, white gold version of the Corum Golden Bridge. You should really check out there selection of watches, though. And if you know you want diamonds, but aren’t really sure what setting would most compliment the recipient of your gist, they have an excellent selection of loose diamonds as well as all the standard jewelry items for both men and women.
