Whether you’re looking for discount computers or Cheap iPods you’ve probably visited a number of online comparison and discount sites trying to find the best deal. Well, TechBargains is yet another in the growing number of sites dedicated to helping you find the best deal on the latest tech. Unfortunately, the site is exceedingly cluttered and even the “Site Guide For New Visitors” slideshow doesn’t seem to actually explain many of their features. For example, I was told they offer “Deal Alerts customized to fit a user’s interests” but the closest thing to that I could find on their site was their “Deal Request” page. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be an explanation anywhere of what, exactly that deal request will do. If I enter the product I’m looking for and a link to the “lowest price found” what do I get back? They’ll allow me to buy it for the price I already found elsewhere? They certainly won’t beat that price, because they don’t actually sell anything. Overall, I’m just really unclear of the point of most of the “features” on this site. With all of the other technology deal websites on the internet a site really needs to offer more to stand out from the crowd. TechBargain seems to have gotten that message, but needs to put a little more effort into explaining the benefits of those features (if there actually are any).
