The prestige of government has undoubtedly been lowered considerably by the prohibition law. For nothing is more destructive of respect for the government and the law of the land than passing laws which cannot be enforced. It is an open secret that the dangerous increase of crime in this country is closely connected with this. »» Albert Einstein

Technology Helps Solve Health Care “Crisis”

Posted on October 4, 2007 - Filed Under Health Care, Living Free | Leave a Comment

I feel the need to start this post with the following disclaimer: I don’t believe there is a “health care crises” in America. Are there millions of people without health care? Probably. Does this mean we’re in a crisis? Not at all. I haven’t seen a doctor in more than a decade and I’m still perfectly healthy. Some of that time I paid for health insurance, some of it I did not. MANY Americans are in the same situation as myself.…

A Sweet Opportunity Right Under Your Nose

If you’re like me you’re always keeping an eye out for new and interesting revenue generating opportunities. But sometimes we miss the things that are right in front of us. I’m talking about vending machines. They seem to be everywhere, but most adults don’t really notice them until our child is suddenly begging for some coins to buy the shiny trinket, flashy sticker, or piece of candy. It’s only pocket change, we think, as we hand over the coins. But…

September Revenue Report

Posted on October 3, 2007 - Filed Under Blogging, GPT PTR PTC, Paid To Write | Leave a Comment

September was a pretty good month for my little online empire. Unlike most bloggers who give monthly earnings reports I’m not going to share what I “earned”, but only payments that I actually received this month. You can see my full PayPal proof of payment by clicking here. I do this because internet companies are notoriously prone to failure, and “get paid” sites are all the more so.

In total I received payments of $460.49 for blog posts, reviews, and PTR/PTC…

As The World (Slowly) Turns

Maybe it’s just because I was born, raised, and currently live in the San Francisco Bay Area, but I’m confused on how this took so long to occur. What’s this? Well, see for yourself-

That’s a short clip from As The World Turns that will go down in history as the first gay male kiss on daytime television. A “landmark” in living free that should have occurred decades ago. Alas, all is not bread and roses in gay soap land. Immediately following…

Yes, Virginia, There Are Real Blog Contests….

Posted on October 3, 2007 - Filed Under Aahz, Blogging, Contests | 3 Comments

Despite the plethora of blog contests out there one single scammer has made many, many people believe that the “big” prizes are always scams. Well, today I’m happy to testify that they’re dead wrong. That pic on the right is a screenshot of the $511.50 PayPal payment I received from McGrath Info Solution for winning their 1 Cool File Blog Directory contest! The extra $11.50 is because I share a PayPal account with my daughter who also won a refund for the…

The Collector’s Eternal Dilemma

Posted on October 3, 2007 - Filed Under Shopping | Leave a Comment

I’m a collector by nature. The actual theme of the collections have changed dramatically and repeatedly over the years, but I’m always collecting something. And I always quickly run in to the same problem: where to put all these items. This has led to my longest lasting collection: storage bins. And my latest find in the storage category is CarGuyGarage.com

This is a bit ironic as I’ve never been a “car guy” (and I don’t have a garage), but whatever your…
