Lessen Trips To The Dentist

Speaking of the lack of a “health care crisis”, how many people go without dental insurance in America? With all the home dental products on the market visits to the dentist are less and less a requirement of good dental hygiene. But dentists do still have their uses. For example, what if you need a filling or a crown? Then it’s time to go see a dentist! But what if your filling has just come loose? I’ll answer that question in a moment. But first, a story…

I’m a big movie junkie and I used to go the theatre at least twice a week to keep up on the latest releases, not to mention the art films and festivals. I go less and less now due to the difficulty in making it all the way through a film without some loudmouth interrupting the film we’ve all paid to see. (What does this have to do with temporary dental repair? Gimme a second, I’m getting there.) But nobody’s perfect and I clearly recall wreaking havoc at an opening night viewing of Gangs of New York several years ago. I was working my way through a (basically mandatory) bag of popcorn when I suddenly lost a filling. There’s no pain in the world like biting down on an unpopped kernel with a tooth that just lost a filling. I let out a bellow to wake the dead and (aside form all the shushing) had several people near me expressing concern for my well being. It took a good five minutes to figure out what happened and get out to the lobby. And five minutes is forever when interrupting the opening night of a drama! Aside from the embarrassment of that evening, it cost me a couple hundred bucks to have a dentist replace the filling.

If I’d only known then what I know now! Because now I just keep some Dentemp OS in the medicine cabinet to solve the problem at home myself. I just remove it from its plastic vial and it’s ready to use - no mess and no mixing. It provides super fast relief of pain and discomfort and in 30 minutes has set enough that you can eat. For those who still believe the government is useful, it’s even FDA approved! No more need for expensive trips to the dentist just for something as basic as replacing a lose filling!
