Maybe it’s just because I was born, raised, and currently live in the San Francisco Bay Area, but I’m confused on how this took so long to occur. What’s this? Well, see for yourself-

That’s a short clip from As The World Turns that will go down in history as the first gay male kiss on daytime television. A “landmark” in living free that should have occurred decades ago. Alas, all is not bread and roses in gay soap land. Immediately following The Kiss, Noah (the one wearing the tie) attended a lunch with his father and asked his girlfriend, Maddie, to move in with him. Leaving me to question whether this is really a step forward for the acceptance of male intimate relationships.
