My grandfather always kept mantel clocks in every room of his house. But my favorite perched on the top of his amazing roll-top desk and looked a lot like this-

My apartment has the perfect spot for a mantle clock, but I have been unable to find one that matches my roommate’s modern furniture. Until now, that is, as I was just led to 1-800-4clocks where I came across this stunning update of my grandfather’s clock-
I absolutely love this clock. It’s simple yet…

So instead of submitting one of the depressing pieces from this summer, I sent in Seven Miles From Gorda. That was the trip that really helped create the bond that Z and I have today, so no matter what happens in any future summer, nothing will ever top “the best weekend ever”.…

My new roommate/client is borderline OCD, so his entire week must be scheduled in advance and if I head downstairs even a minute late to go shopping, change his laundry, or head to the doctors all types of havoc is wreaked. Being a much more laid back “I promise it’ll get done” type of guy, this has been a difficult transition for me. But I finally found a tool to make it easy.
The Ultra Hal Assistant from Zabaware ‘lives’ on my desktop…
What, Exactly Is The Problem Here?

According to Reuters, a woman in Beijing was “fired for talking back to her boss.” Why, exactly is this news? Why don’t we have news reports about the millions of other people who were fired today?
What’s that? You say, it’s a stupid reason to fire an employee? Possibly, but if that’s the case then the business will suffer for it and, ultimately, fail unless they change their ways. Hmm? It’s not fair? Why not? We’re talking about a private business…
