9/11 Indoctrination in Middle School

Yesterday was, of course, the sixth anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. I made an intentional effort to avoid discussing it here because it’s all such a load of crap that even trying to have the conversation just leads to chaos. But Z has forced my hand a bit.

Apparently, her Social Studies teacher couldn’t let the anniversary pass without feeding lies and half-truths to the young children of Gilroy. We (Z and I)…

Confessions Of A Closet Decorator

No, I don’t decorate closets. But few people suspect that I’m such a fan of interior decorating. I just get these urges sometimes to totally redo a room (or my entire home) and go a bit hog wild. My past roommates have all had the experience of coming home from a weekend away only to discover an entirely different home upon their return. I presume it’s a manifestation of my wanderlust. It seems that her Little Tribe will be walking in their local Memory Walk and have decided that a blog contest is a great way to generate sponsors. Brilliant idea! The best thing about this contest is that it’s…

Real Estate License Maxim: Practice, Practice, Practice

I’ve been writing a fair amount about real estate and mortgages here on this blog. Much more than I expected, in fact. Yesterday, I shared some experiences about growing up with a real estate business in my home. Today I’d like to help you do the same for your kids ;)

In order to become a Realtor or Apparaiser, you need to pass a licensing test. The most popular real estate test providers are AMP, PSI, Experior and Promissor. Every test…

Just Can’t Get Started Today

Remember that light I saw at the end of the tunnel? Turns out it was just some phosphorent rock or sumthin’, cause it sure as heck wasn’t the end of the dark, dark tunnel. I wrote a while back about the wheel bearings going out on Rover (my truck), well he’s had more problems since then. For several weeks I’ve needed to turn the steering wheel to get the ignition to start, but on Monday this trick stopped working - ironically while…
