I’ve detailed a few of my recent financial setbacks here on Philaahzophy, and the punches just keep on coming. This has had me once again pondering the world of pay day loans. If you’re unfamiliar with the concept a payday loan, it’s basically a high interest, short term loan for emergency purposes. Only being paid monthly, cash advance loans, have become much more attractive in my current job than they were in the past. After all, two weeks isn’t long to suffer pretty much anything, but doubling that time leaves a lot more holes open that may need to be filled.
In my quest for more information I came across a cash advance website that acts as a sort of hub or clearing house for these emergency loans. In addition to profiles of (and links to) half a dozen online lending agents, the site has several well written articles covering pay day loan basics, tips and advice on getting approved (which is FAR easier than a traditional loan), the advantages of getting your loan online as opposed to at a local shop, and how to determine which lender is right for you.
I’ve only got five days until payday, and a $250 advance is already being taken out of this check, so I think I’ll have to pass for the moment. But it’s good to know there are site’s out there with some solid information on these loans should the genuine emergency materialize.
