It’s that time of year again…
The days are getting shorter, the kids are starting to get amped up, the advertising agencies are kicking into full swing and the consumers are sharpening their credit cards. Yes, the shopidays.. er.. holidays are upon us once again. The day after Thanksgiving was declared “the largest shopping day of the year” some time ago by someone, somewhere. The description stuck. But to those who have ever worked in retail, it will always be known as Black Friday. Thanks to the wonders of the internet Black Friday has become a holiday all its own, all but eclipsing the Thanksgiving that it follows.
Black Friday is when full-contact shopping goes into high gear with the best of the best not only saving thousands of dollars on everything from the latest toy to plasma TVs, but with the truly dedicated consumers actually turning a profit as a result of insane store loss leaders and thanksgiving ads being posted to the internet. Two years ago Wal-Mart specials included a laptop so cheap that few of the prizes left stores without at least some blood spattered on the box. Okay, I’m exaggerating… a little.
But thanks to the internet Gods you can now grab the best of the best when it comes to Black Friday ads straight from the comfort of your own home (or from your laptop’s wireless connection while waiting in line yourself) thanks to sites like Black-Friday.net.
