During the first weekend it was available, 150 iPhones were sold every minute. That’s a lot of phones, and it leaves me pondering one thing: what happened to the hundreds of thousands of phones being abandoned for the next hot thing? If you’ve found yourself pondering the same question after upgrading to an iPhone, or some other nifty new phone, then I’ve recently discovered the answer. Cell4Cash is a website that buys “old” cell phones.
When I changed from Cingular to MetroPcs I had to get a new phone, so sold them my old Nokia. I only got $26.00 for it, but that was a lot better than simply throwing it in a drawer. And the process couldn’t of been simpler. I just selected my phone on their site and gave them my mailing address, etc. About a week later I received a prepaid shipping box from them, dropped my phone in it and sent it back off to them. Another couple of weeks and a check arrived.
Yesterday I recommended the site to a friend who recently upgraded his Razr. Not only did they give him $50 for it, but they now have a Quick Ship option which allows you to print out a prepaid mailing label directly on your printer and ship your phone off the very same day!
