First, denial and disbelief. I say, “Are you sure? Do you know who Google is? You’re kidding me, right?” She says she does know who Google is, but that this particular account doesn’t have enough funds to cover my check.
Yes, despite Adsenes having $804 Million in revenue in the 4th quarter of 2006, they couldn’t cover the check to a single associate.
After more than 30 communications with Google including, emails, telephone calls, blog posts and comments back and forth, Google has finally made good. The check was finally successfully cashed today, bringing to close yet another chapter of the crazy world that is monetizing blogs.
